“I don’t really have a sweet tooth, but if I’m going for a treat, donuts are IT!

After living in Brooklyn for 7 years and traveling to major cities worldwide for more than 15 years as an advertising and fashion photographer (glyniscarpenter.com), I’ve sampled a lot of really tasty donuts.

My 11-year-old son, also a donut-lover, recently asked for “special” donuts for his birthday.

Taking to Google, I realized there are NO “special” donuts anywhere near my home in Stanfordville, NY (Central Dutchess County).

So I decided to make them myself. After a lot of experimenting (my family LOVES this part) and many conversations with my sister, a successful chef and restaurant owner, I began making donuts that taste amazing, but look a bit… we’ll say… homemade.

Ugly Donut Co was born.

I use the best ingredients I can source– local when possible and organic or single-source when not. Can’t wait for you to try them!”
